The idea of Riding the Long Way Home was in my head for many years before I finally built up the courage to do it. In 2018 I bought a new Bianchi and rode it home to London from Milan. This blog started as diary of that trip and somehow ended up being more as people followed my trips. Although why they are interested in the ramblings of a talentless, sweary middle aged man I will never know.
